Did you know that employees of Disney World are called “Cast Members”? I was lucky enough to be a Cast Member for ten years, and it was one of the most memorable and educational experiences of my professional life. And because this year marks Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, I thought I’d take this opportunity to talk about one of my true passions, anything Disney! But my love for Disney goes beyond merely the wonderful memories of being a previous Cast Member.
I also have a hobby of collecting and searching for Disneyana.
Disneyana is a term for a wide variety of collectible toys, books, animation cells, theme-park souvenirs, and other items produced by The Walt Disney Company. Collecting Disneyana is something I’ve enjoyed for many years, and I love the way Disney collectibles can capture the memories and essence that make so many of my favorite movies dear to my heart. Beauty and The Beast is one of my favorite movies of all time. I have loved this timeless story ever since it was first released in 1991, and the incredible songs have become classics for generations to come.
The best part about Disneyana is that everyone can find something they love.
